Duane E. Dewey AMVETS Post 1988
AMVETS exists to enhance the quality of life for all veterans, their families and survivors. Membership in AMVETS is open to anyone who honorably served or is currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, including the National Guard and Reserves. Duane E. Dewey AMVETS Post 1988 was named after Duane Edgar Dewey (November 16, 1931 – October 11, 2021) who was an American combat Marine. He received the United States military's highest decoration for valor, the Medal of Honor, for his actions on April 16, 1952, during the Korean War.
MISSION STATEMENT
To enhance and safeguard the entitlements for all American Veterans who have served honorably and to improve the quality of life for them, their families and the communities where they live through leadership, advocacy and services.
